Aseptic Line & Tank Sampling Procedure

1. At desired sampling time, wash hands thoroughly, then remove orange dust cover.

2. Sanitize outer surface of the sampler with a proper strength sanitizing solution or alcohol prep.

A. Syringe Sampling

When sampling with a syringe, aseptically place needle on syringe. Insert needle through white cover on sampler into one of seven unused needle guide channels.

Fill syringe.

Destroy needle by cutting both the tip and hub with a side cutter.

Discard needle into sharps container.

B. Composite Bag Sampling

When sampling with a QMI Composite Bag, insert needle through white cover on sampler into one of seven unused needle guide channels.

Allow the bag to fill.

Tie tubing and remove needle. Destroy needle by cutting both the tip and hub with a side cutter.

Discard needle into a sharps container.
